Amina Mahe Mukhtar

 

BOE Reporter & CCP Youth Representative

Amina serves as a member of Let Youth Lead (LYL) – a youth advisory think tank for Waterbury Bridge to Success (BTS) Community Partnership.

IIn her role, they are responsible for centering young people’s lived experiences and expertise to generate new ideas that push forward the BTS mission & vision to ‘Build, Transform & Sustain’ Waterbury’s children, youth, and families in school, career, and life.

Amina is looking forward to upcoming community events that LYL will spearhead including raising awareness of the government functions within the city such as the Board of Education. It is her vision that LYL will continue to participate in the active sharing of information and building youth capacity to advocate on behalf of themselves.

Amina is a Waterbury Public School student. In her spare time, she likes to play tennis, travel, and bake.
